APC says circulating 2027 form price list false

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has disowned the currently circulating price list for the expression of interest and nomination forms for the forthcoming 2027 general election, calling it false.

The report which spread rapidly on Friday  claimed that nomination forms for presidential aspirants would sell at ₦200 million, while forms for state assemblies aspirants was tagged at ₦20 million.

The party has however described the report as false and misleading, stating that no such decision has been taken.

This was disclosed in a statement on Saturday by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, who said the so-called price list did not originate from the party.

“The attention of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been drawn to a false and misleading report circulating in sections of the media regarding a purported ‘price list’ for expression of interest and nomination forms for the 2027 General Elections.

“The APC states categorically that the report is FAKE, and did not emanate from the Party,” Morka said.

The Publicity Secretary emphasized that the APC has no discussed nor approved any official price for the 2027 election forms, while urging party members, the media, and the public to disregard the report in its entirety.

“To be clear, no decision or announcement has been made on the sale or pricing of forms for the 2027 elections,” he noted, stating that the report was “a mere figment of the writer’s mischievous imagination.”
