Spain beat France 2-0 to qualify for World Cup final
Spain has qualified for the final of the ongoing 2026 FIFA World Cup after defeating France 2-0 on Tuesday.
Spain was awarded a penalty in the first half of the game which was converted by Mikel Oyarzabal, before Pedro Porro delivered a second goal during the second half.
The European champions who are trying to win the World Cup for a second time, will now face the winner of Wednesday’s semifinal between Argentina and England, in the final.
France recorded their lowest shots in a single match at the ongoing World Cup, attempting only 10 shots in the game.
The French team had scored 16 goals in their previous six games, but rarely seemed like scoring tonight, as the game was largely dominated by the Spanish side.
Meanwhile, Spain have now kept a clean sheet in six of their seven games in the tournament.
