Police breaks Sowore’s hand, moves him to undisclosed location
A Police team has allegedly broken the hand of Omoyele Sowore, the African Action Congress (AAC) Presidential candidate during the 2023 general election in Nigeria.
The incident was said to have occured at the Force Headquarters in Abuja on Thursday.
In a trending post that was shared on Sowore’s official Instagram handle, a police team headed by a CSP from the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Monitoring Unit, forcibly entered his detention cell, broke his right hand and ferreted him to an undisclosed location.
The post read: “At about 6AM, a police team, headed by a CSP from the IGP Monitoring Unit, forcibly entered Omoyele Sowore’s detention cell at the FID in Abuja, broke his right hand, and transported him to an undisclosed location.”
Recall that Sowore was detained by the police on Wednesday after honoring an invitation from the Inspector General of Police.
