Nigeria beats Lesotho 2:1 in World Cup qualifiers
The Super Eagles of Nigeria today secured 3 extra points in a 2:1 victory over the Crocodiles of Lesotho in the ongoing FIFA 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
The match which held on Friday October 10, at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium, Polokwane, saw a fierce contest between the two teams.
The first Nigerian goal came in from William Troost-Ekong in the fifty-fifth minute of the second half, followed by a second goal scored by Akor Adams in the eightieth minute.
Lesotho’a Hiompho Kalake secured a goal for his team at the eighty-third minute, with the game ending in a 2:1 scoreline in favour of the Super Eagles.
Meanwhile South Africa had a 0:0 draw against Zimbabwe. Nigerian Football spectators see the development as a glimmer of hope in the Country’s 2026 World Cup qualification quest.
