Guinness World Records confirms Hilda Baci, Gino as Nigerian-style jollof title holders
Guinness World Records (GWR) on Monday announced Hilda Baci and Gino Nigeria as Guinness World Records title holders for the largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice, a new record set at the Gino World Jollof Festival held recently in Lagos.
Confirming the record on Monday via its X handle, Guinness World Records wrote:
āNew record: Largest serving of Nigerian style jollof rice ā 8,780 kg (19,356 lb 9 oz) achieved by Hilda Baci and Gino in Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.ā

In a video posted on Instagram, Baci revealed the suspense-filled wait before receiving a video call from a GWR official. The call also had a representative of Gino Nigeria.
Delivering the news, the GWR official said that the recipe and distribution process met the organisationās requirements. āWith a total of 8,780kg Hilda Baci and Gino, you are the Guinness World Records title holders for the largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice. Congratulations, you are officially amazing,ā the official declared.
Reacting, Baci said: āThe entire team went above and beyond. Itās my name and Gino on this record but this record is dedicated to every person who worked on this. This project was bigger than us. Itās historic,ā she said in the clip.
She further wrote in her caption: āThis moment isnāt just mine, it belongs to Gino and to all of us. This record was made possible because Gino created the platform for this history to happen.
āTo the tireless team that worked day and night, to every cheer, every prayer, every hand that helped stir, pack, and serve⦠this Guinness World Record was built on unity, love, and collective strength.

Recall that Baci had earlier set a record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual in May 2023, having cooked for 93 hours and 11 minutes.
