World’s richest man Elon Musk says he agrees with the teachings of Jesus
World’s richest man Elon Musk has said he agrees with the teachings of Jesus. He made the comment in a late Tuesday post on X (formerly Twitter). Musk had Made a similar claim in Pennsylvania in 2024.
This is not coming as a shock for many as the Tesla and Space X giant has in recent years reevaluated his position on the supernatural after years of propagating and holding on to atheistic beliefs.
Musk wrote in a post on Tuesday: “I agree with the teachings of Jesus.” The post so far has almost 12,000 reposts and over 116,000 likes.
Musk in earlier years had dismissed the idea of an all-powerful God who judges the actions of humans. He told The Office in a 2013 interview that he was less convinced about a superconsciousness watching over the affairs of men.
“There’s certainly things we don’t understand about the universe, but I’m less convinced that there’s some superconsciousness watching over our every movement and kind of evaluating it against some criteria and deciding whether we’re going to go to one place or another when we die. I think that’s unlikely.
“If there’s some superconsciousness, where did the superconsciousness come from? So I think the most likely explanation is that complexity evolved from simplicity, that simple elements over time combined to become more complex and arrive at what we are,” he said.
In recent years however, Musk has advocated the teachings of Christianity. In 2022 he tweeted: “Jesus taught love, kindness and forgiveness. I used to think that turning the other cheek was weak and foolish, but I was the fool for not appreciating its profound wisdom.”
During a Pennsylvania town hall in 2024 he stated that he had become a believer of Jesus’ teachings including the “love thy neighbor” and “Turn the other cheek” principles, which according to him “is very important for forgiveness.”
