Israel strikes naval missile production sites In Tehran

Israeli military on Wednesday said it struck two naval cruise missile production facilities operated by Iran’s ministry of defence in Tehran.

“In recent days, the Israeli air force acting on IDF intelligence struck two key naval cruise missile production sites in Tehran,” the military said.

According to Israeli military, the facilities were used to “develop and manufacture long-range naval cruise missiles, which are capable of rapidly destroying targets at sea and on land”.

It added that the strikes “represent another step in deepening the damage done to the regime’s military production infrastructure”.

The Israeli military had made an earlier disclosure of striking several Iranian naval ships, including vessels equipped with anti-submarine missiles, in the Caspian sea.

Since the commencement of the war on February 28, the Israeli military has hit over three thousand targets in Iran, and has gained complete control alongside the United States air force over the skies of Tehran.

Iran has also launch a barrage of ballistic missiles and attack drones towards Israel, with over 90 percent intercepted by Israel’s defence systems, with the few unintercepted missiles causing some damage to civilians and civilian infrastructures.

Iran also launched missiles towards gulf nations and US bases in the Middle East, thereby expanding the war into a regional conflict.
