Israel bombards Yemen after Houthi cluster bomb attack
Israel struck Houthi targets in Yemen on Sunday after the rebels launched a cluster bomb at Israel on Friday.
Reports say Israeli strikes were targeted at a military complex, two power plants and a fuel storage site, killing at least four people, with 67 others wounded in the strikes.
According to Israel Defense Forces (IDF), the strikes were in response to attacks by the Houthi terrorist regime against Israel.
An Israel Air Force official has said that more than 10 fighter jets participated in the strikes, with the farthest target being approximately 2,000 kilometers from Israel.

Israel’s Defense Minister Israel Katz said in a statement that the Houthis would pay many times over for every missile fired at Israel. āToday we brought upon the Houthis a blow of darkness and blackoutāand going forward, there will be a blow of the firstborn as well,” he said.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said strength and determination were demonstrated by Israel through the strikes. āThe Houthi terror regime is learning the hard way that it will payāand is payingāa very heavy price for its aggression against the State of Israel,” he said.
Iranās Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei on the other hand, praised the Houthi attack against Israel when he wrote on X (formerly Twitter): āwhat the brave people of Yemen are doing today is the right thing to do.ā
The strikes by the Israelis against the Houthis were in response to a missile launched against Israel on Friday, containing a number of sub-munitions which would detonate upon impact. While the missile was successfully intercepted, fragments landed on several sites, although no injuries were recorded.
