List of 68 new SANs sworn in by CJN
68 legal practitioners were on Monday sworn in as Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SAN) by Nigerian chief justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, at the 2026/2027 legal year ceremony.
The elevation of the 68 legal practitioners had earlier been approved by the legal practitioners’ privileges committee at its 174th plenary session held in Abuja in July, recognising the recipients’ contributions to the legal practice and scholarship.
67 advocates and one academic, Professor Nnamdi Onyeka Obiaraeri, were conferred the new legal status, listed below in order of seniority at the Bar:
