Hon Monday Osaigbovo, a beacon of grassroots representation for Edo South in the Nigerian senate

The immediate past commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs in Edo State, Hon. Monday Osaigbovo, currently flies the flag of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)
as senatorial candidate for Edo South senatorial district in the forthcoming 2027 general election.

Osaigbovo is seeking to represent the interest of the good people of Edo South as one who understands the true plight of those at the grassroots.

A man with a strength of mind and character peculiarly his own; diligent and experienced in his exposition of governance, expressed in the simplicity of his nature.

Monday Osaigbovo served as commissioner for agriculture and natural resources before his subsequent appointment as commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs, under the administration of Godwin Obaseki.

His steadfastness, transparency and indefatigable discharge of duties, earned him a reappointment during Obaseki’s second term in office.

Osaigbovo played a crucial role in supervising local government administrations, bringing the impact of effective governance to communities at the local level, while also functioning as a bridge between government and traditional institutions.

He aided several youth re-skilling programs through tech initiatives and innovations, which became a silent but impactful revolution, driving the upward mobility of youths across the various councils in the state.

Prior to his unblemished stewardship as commissioner, he served meritoriously as council chairman of Ovia North East local government area between 1999 and 2002 under the administration of Lucky Nosakhare Igbinedion, during the early years of our nascent democracy in the wake of the 4th Republic.

The former commissioner who hails from Ovia North East has left indelible footprints which extend beyond his immediate community to the entire Edo South district, as legacies of his giant strides linger to the present time.

The people of Edo South yearn for genuine and effective representation. They seek a voice that echoes their aspirations at the Red Chamber of the National Assembly. They toast to the health of one whose name signifies hope, whose dreams rest on the yearnings of his people, and whose desires revolve round the growth and development of his senatorial district.

Osaigbovo is a man of the people and a man of character. His antecedents in office bear testament to his people-centred leadership. His voice represents the voices of those who depend on his stewardship to be heard.

As he throws his hat in the ring, seeking the support of his own, Osaigbovo remains the hope of Edo South come 2027.

Vote Hon. Monday E.O. Osaigbovo JP as senator representing Edo South senatorial district come 2027!

Vote for grassroots representation!
