Fmr Edo commissioner Monday Osaigbovo calls ex-governor Igbinedion ‘a unifying figure’ in birthday message
Former commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs in Edo State, Hon. Monday Osaigbovo, has celebrated a two-time governor of Edo State, Chief (Dr.) Lucky Nosakhare Igbinedion, on the occasion of his 69th birthday anniversary.
Osaigbovo praised the former governor, calling him a man of few words whose humility and charismatic nature have endeared him to many.
The former commissioner further commended the ex-governor for his leadership role in the state, noting that the celebrant has become a voice of unity during divergent ideological differences and socio-political leanings in the state.
Osaigbovo joined friends and families to wish the celebrant good health, longevity and a prosperous future.

“Birthday Felicitation to HE Chief (Dr.) Lucky Igbinedion
I would use this opportunity to join other well-wishers in celebrating the life of a statesman whose indelible footprints cannot be erased from the sands of time.
A man of few words but compelling actions, His Excellency, Chief (Dr.) Lucky Nosakhare Igbinedion, has adorned the stature of humility with the very nature of his charisma, earning the love and respect of all with whom he has crossed paths.
Having served as a local government Chairman before assuming the number one position in Edo State as Governor for two terms, he endeared a followership across diverse spectrums and strata of the society, leaving behind legacies that stand tall to this present day.
Your Excellency, I will not forget your admonition to me during my days as Chairman of Ovia North East Local Government Area, Okada, which resulted in your visit to my LGA to commission Okhumwun electricity, Iguohoro Health Center, Obarenren electricity, alongside other projects and interventions.
Your leadership and guidance have helped many of the Edo extraction find the threshold for forward progression, as countless others came across fortunes through the instrumentality of your status and position.
You have become a rallying port for Edos both at home and in the diaspora, and a unifying figure in times of divergent ideological leanings and socio-political divides. You remain a gift to the Edo nation.
On this special occasion, marking your 69th birthday anniversary, I wish you good health, longevity and a prosperous future, as your children surround your table continually.
