The executive and members of Akoko-Edo Vision Movement celebrate a distinguished son of Igarra and a committed public servant whose giant strides resonate across the diverse spectrums of his professional and political careers.

Having harnessed the divine substance of beneficence, you adopted altruism and compassion as guiding precepts, leaving a trail of goodness in your path, while impacting humanity with your natural constitution and genuine desire to put smiles on the faces of others.

Your academic and professional journey — from a BSc in Political Science at the University of Ibadan in 1984 to your legal studies in London — speaks to a lifetime of preparation for service and leadership.

As an accomplished board room expert, international lawyer and former Federal Commissioner, Public Complaints Commission, you have distinguished yourself in the legal profession and served in the public and political arena with responsibility, integrity and excellence, aiding a new organizational paradigm in the administration of your office.

Your leadership as Executive Chairman of the Edo State Internal Revenue Service (EIRS) has already begun to shape a more modern, accountable approach to public finance in Edo State, and your steady stewardship is a source of pride for many in Akoko‑Edo and beyond.

Under your guidance, efforts to strengthen revenue systems, expand the tax base, and promote fiscal transparency have been notable and widely recognized, as the State moves towards a more prosperous time of accountability, responsibility and transparency in public finance and management.

As you add another year today, we also acknowledge your ambition for the Akoko‑Edo House of Representatives 2026, a goal that reflects your continued desire to serve your people at a higher level, in pursuit of a genuine and people-centred representation.

As a leading aspirant, we have no doubt in the successful outcome of this endeavour, neither do we question our resolve to mobilize and galvanize support for this noble and people-oriented cause, as your impact in Akoko-Edo Local government remains invaluable.

As you add another year, we pray for renewed strength, wisdom, and the support needed to pursue these aspirations with integrity and humility, the very hallmarks that define your personality.

May your day be filled with the warmth of family, the respect of colleagues, and the gratitude of a community that values your contributions, while you enjoy the sound health and longevity needed to accomplish your enterprise.

Happy Birthday, Hon. (Barr.) Oladele Bankole‑Balogun! May your leadership continue to inspire and may your vision for Akoko‑Edo prosper.
